Geoff – RCABC

Best Quality Roofing Foreman Geoff Hollingsworth was among 13 students who completed RCABC’s first Residential Steep Roofing course earlier this year. The course, which is believed to be the first of its kind in North America, was developed by members of the Construction Industry Training Organization (CITO) Governance Committee, the Industry Training Authority (ITA) and the RCABC.

The six week program covered steep roof safety, asphalt shingles, cedar shake and shingle, concrete and composite tiles, standing seam metal roofing, blueprinting and estimating, steep roofing hoisting systems, rigging, repairs and maintenance, and EPDM built-in gutters. Also included in the program was a fall protection course, Health Canada’s WHMIS, level 1 first aid and the Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) computer based program.

Congratulations to Geoff for his successful completion of the program!
